Shipping outside of the Ebay realm
Summary: angel79 inquired about purchasing shipping labels on eBay for non-eBay transactions while still benefiting from eBay's shipping discounts. shire123 and janet9988 clarified that eBay labels are tied to actual orders and are not available for outside transactions. thriftyfiftyfifty suggested using services like Pirateship or USPS Click N Ship, which offer competitive rates similar to eBay. gin11153 cautioned against outside sales, as eBay monitors such activities.
Hi all. Is there a way I can purchase a label from ebay being a seller with a store and ebay client for an out of ebay transaction where I can put the measurements, address of location and weight of product manually and take advantage of ebays shipping discounts we get as buyers/sellers? If so how do I do that process under my account? Thanks in advanced.

·3 weeks agoonce upon a time you could buy a label thru ebay to wherever you wanted, but no longer, they removed that option some time ago and then in the last couple months have made it so you cannot even edit the address period.
click n ship works for anything and is cheaper than retail.

·3 weeks agoas far as I know, ebay doesn't allow outside sales tp buyers. They monitor direct messages to enforce this and you could lose your account.

·3 weeks agoEbay does not have anything to do with any item or shipping option that has nothing to do with selling on ebay.

·Sep 17, 2026 at 2:50 PM@angel79 eBay doesn't have that capability because it has to be directly related to an Order. Pirateship or USPS Click N Ship will give you what you are looking for though because they sell lone Labels specifically. Pirateship will pretty much give you nearly identical USPS Rates to eBay. USPS Click N Ship "Business Rates" though will beat them both for MOST Ground Advantage shipments because they are providing the old "Ounce Tiers" Discounts regardless of Rural Zip-codes. If you don't signup to use the Click N Ship "Business Rate" Account on USPS, you can still buy individual labels at the Commercial Rate like eBay and Pirateship give.
