Shipping method problem: eBay standard envelope
I've sold items that use shipping method "eBay standard envelope" for cheaper items. I was just notified that some users havent received the items. After investigating, I have noticed a lot of them using that shipping method are not being sent at all, nor are they being returned to me.
Anyone know what is going on?

OP6 days agoI think from now on i'll avoid using the ESE, too stressful and limited on packaging.
Thanks for the replies ya'll, very much appreciated :)

·1 week ago · EditedIf your envelopes are not arriving and not receiving any scans, they are too stiff. They have to be able to bend around a coffee can or cereal bowl (technically an 11" roller as noted, a cereal bowl is 7-8", a bit smaller and less forgiving so it is a good rule of thumb). If you are using top loaders, that is your problem. Make them nice and flexible. If you absolutely must use a top loader, better to send it non-machineable letter without tracking instead of ESE than risk it disappearing or showing up postage due. Letters that are kicked out of the letter sorting machine can sit in a bin for manual sorting for a week or two and may show up a couple weeks late. They may arrive eventually, possibly postage due.

·1 week agoYou envelopes are probably too stiff or not uniformly thick. If you are shipping using top loaders they are the problem. The envelopes must be able to bend around an 11" circle and can't have thickness variations of more than .003", top loaders tend to fail at both.
Non compliant envelopes will either be returned or delivered slowly (like weeks) possibly with Ground Advantage or Non-machinable postage due. If they make it to the machine and it jams or spits out the card, it will never be seen again.
