Hello, and thanks to all for sharing their experience and opinions on this forum.

If a seller has already payed for a shipping label for a sold item,

is the money the seller spent for the label refundable, if the seller cancels the order, and does not ship the item?

Yes, you can get your money back if done within 5 days. Find the item on your sold orders page. Click and elect to print another label (just pretend). At the top of the label page is a warning you already bought a label with an underlined link to your shipping labels page. On this page you'll find a link to void the label. It's next to the item under actions.

If you didn't use the shipping label you can get a refund. Assuming the label was bought via ebay, here's some info

How to void a shipping label

How long you have to void a shipping label depends on the shipping service you used.

USPS: You have 5 days to void a USPS shipping label that you printed on eBay, and it can take up to 21 days for USPS to approve or reject the refund. If it's approved, you'll receive an email that you have been refunded
UPS: UPS labels can't be voided as you won't be charged until the package has been delivered
FedEx: FedEx labels can't be voided because you're not charged until the package has been delivered
eBay Standard Envelope: The labels are non-voidable once they have been printed. Please review the terms and conditions here - opens in new window or tab.
