Yep, same problem for me. All of mine were dropped off Monday, so no time to cancel/re-issue. I had no idea this was happening until a concerned buyer reached out to me this afternoon because their tracking showed delivered earlier this month across country.
I've decided not to stress myself out so I'm not looking at any of my tracking numbers in great detail... I will just check on them if a buyer reaches out. (Tracking looks correct on all of mine... they all show as carrier scanned 6/23 in Ebay. )
25 year seller on Ebay and have never had this happen. Unless it only affected some sellers, it appears this might be more than "a small number of USPS tracking numbers for eBay-purchased labels" as listed on the pinned post and more of a wide-spread issue. About 25% of our packages were affected. Luckily, we had one of our buyers reach out this morning which brought the issue to our attention. We were able to catch some and purchase new labels. The others were not showing delivered on Ebay tracking information, but I found out later were showing delivered on USPS tracking page. Those ones were sent today with the duplicated/delivered tracking. I hope they move through the system as normal. I am guessing it is "small" right now as most did not realize it was an issue. It would have been helpful to post this under "seller announcements". If our buyer had not reached out, we would have not known.
Yes. It said delivered instead of "in transit" and the tracking appears to be a duplicate tracking number in which the package was sent out June 18th from Chicago and delivered today--June 23rd in Florida, which are not the states involved in my transaction.
Yeah, have a label I printed yesterday, shows an acceptance scan this morning but also shows it's out for delivery last Friday. Hmmmm that seems like the USPS may be having issues. I figure they got doggied.
I had this issue with 6 out of 20 labels I purchased yesterday. Unfortunately, I dropped them off at the post office before realizing that the tracking shows delivered to a different state last month. Today, the eBay system tracking is showing the correct info, but if you click on the link to redirect to USPS, it shows the previous tracking info of delivered to a different address last month. I've had 2 of the customers reach out so far. I sent them a photo of their actual label and the screenshot of the eBay tracking info, and they've been understanding, but I'm not looking forward to figuring out what happens if a customer opens an INR since the official tracking says delivered to a different zip code.
YES. Dealing with this all morning. I re-purchased postage elsewhere (NOT using the ebay labels this time!) and messaged the customers the new tracking numbers. You may also want to double check them all on actual USPS website, because some are showing delivered on USPS's site and not on eBays site. Its a mess.
This has happened in the past. When I experienced it, the Ebay rep who I called me back, issued a credit for the shipping charge and I bought postage from Ebay again which had no problem.

·1 year agohow do you void these labels? If you try to void them it will get denied by USPS because it shows the label was "used"
I highly doubt eBay has the capacity to go through and manually credit each of us with this problem.

·1 year agoIs this still happening for labels purchased today Monday 6/23/25? Or has it been solved? Anyone?

·1 year agoHappened to me on Ebay USPS labels printed out 6-22.
Showed delivered the same day I dropped off the packages.
I talked to a local post master and he said, yep this happens everyday, he
get complaints on this everyday and has a large folder full of complaints about this.,
He also said they don't know how or why this keeps happening.
But on his computer he could see/track both packages with the same tracking number,
we just can't.
