Shipping costs from Bulgaria
Hello everyone,
I am a first time seller on eBay and will be shipping items from Bulgaria. I would like to know how to estimate the shipping costs for items or how I can go on about shipping from Bulgaria to abroad. Thanks!

Using "estimated" shipping can cause problems. ($$$ problems)

·3 years agoCalculated shipping is not possible if the seller is listing on .com and sending from another country. I don’t think that there is a Bulgarian eBay site so calculated shipping wouldn’t be an option.

·3 years agoThe best thing to do if you are a first time seller is to start small. Sell inexpensive small items to get an idea of the cost of shipping plus all the other things associated with eBay. Don't sell big items or expensive items. You will also have to establish selling in your own country as well or maybe do that first before attempting to sell outside your country. Maybe check other sellers from Bulgaria what they are charging for shipping.
You can go into eBay...find an item that is similar to what your are selling from another seller and click into nearest (closest) to you as far as shipping and that might help to get an estimate of shipping.

·3 years agoHi: This is a US board but I would think that the most economical option for you is to use the Bulgarian Post, whatever the official name is. I would also assume, they have an option to print shipping labels online, so you don't have to go to the post office to purchase them. Does ebay have a Bulgarian site? If so, you should be able to print shipping labels from ebay.
What is also important is to provide correct commodity codes for the items you will be shipping (TARIC, or Harmonization Numbers...lot of help on this topic on the web).
Also, be aware that when you ship outside EU, some countries impose VAT tax, usually 20%. So if you have a buyer from UK, and the buyer is not charged VAT tax at the time of purchase, he will be charged VAT at delivery. UK's Royal Mail usually charges an extra 10GBP administration fee. So make sure, that the non-EU buyers are aware of these extra charges.
Lot of depends on whether you have Ebay Bulgaria or not, e.g. ebay would automatically charge the UK buyer VAT tax at the time of purchase, so you would not have to bother with that.
Do some research about how to mail abroad from Bulgaria (just general information, not necessarily related to ebay) to learn how the system works, to avoid future problems. Good luck!
