Shipping cost hike!
You know, It really amazes me how shipping cost just keeps going up and up and up, but the quality in the service of the shipping is just getting worse and worse and worse. I don’t know how many times I have had packages that are damaged, I have packages that just go MIA and then we have the carriers that don’t even scan the eBay shipping labels like they should so then of course that reflects the sellers metrics and for some reason we should be punished because the carriers don’t do their job. Then to even file an Insurance claim through USPS or “eBay’s third-party insurance company†is a joke and is a ridiculous cat and mouse game. Also this new pay in an hour thing is absurd. Just making it more firm that eBay STEALS what little profit you can make on items by charging fees on every item before combining shipping for buyers. I’ve been debating leaving eBay and just using my other platforms for selling and this all puts the cherry on the top. Makes 100s of millions and still being greedy to suck every penny out of anyone. Oh your coders, programmers, algorithm and AI system is all trash and needs help from them millions your STEALING from people.

·2 years agoYou're leaving eBay because of the USPS rate increase? OK...but how are you going to ship your items from the other platforms you're taking your sales to?

·2 years agoAs for myself, I have been receiving very good service from USPS. No damaged or missing packages. Did have one ground advantage go on a little tour on the way to idaho from California. But it is being delivered today.

·2 years agoWith USPS, price changes are on a fixed schedule: twice a year in January and July, and sometimes holiday surcharges are implemented October-ish. Other carriers aren't as predictable with price changes, but typically you can count on them to implement price changes twice a year (or more) with holiday surcharges.
While a few of your items have multiple bids, the vast majority are selling with only 1 single big. That tells us there's a fixed market value for those items and auction format may not be the best option. You can switch to fixed price format and set up automatic combined shipping rules. That could solve one of the problems you mentioned.
Insurance claims with eBay Standard Envelope are generally a straightforward process without hoops. Insurance claims with USPS do require cooperation from the buyer to turn over the item and packaging for inspection - same with other carriers - so that's more tricky.
