Shipping cost
I bought an item that had $25 shipping costs and I ended up getting a message from the seller who’s refusing to sell me this item because it’s going to actually cost them $75 to ship it to me. I paid a little over $200 for the item with the $25 shipping already. Are they even allowed to deny for this reason? I feel like they should have to send it and just eat the cost.

·2 years agoTell them to try cubic shipping on pirate ship if it's less than a cubic foot and less than 20 lb. Than it would definitely cost less than $25.
On principle do not pay the difference. If they cancel the sale on you you can still leave negative feedback and you should.

·2 years agoThey need to send it and just eat it. Do not respond to seller. Your job is to wait and see if item is mailed.
If it doesn't arrive in the time period do an item not received. And report seller if they do a "cancel due to address".

·2 years agoThey are not supposed to refuse to ship in that situation but they can’t be forced to do so. But they should cancel the transaction and refund you now, not after the estimated delivery date. When they cancel they should use out of stock\damaged as a reason for the cancellation. They may use another reason to avoid a defect from eBay and if they do you should report them to eBay. When sellers do things like that it reflects on all of us.
You are correct, the seller should eat the cost of their mistake. It’s against eBay policy to charge more for a transaction after it’s been paid.
