Shipping cost ?
I am selling a set of plates ( salad dinner etc ) 12 of each and I am selling each plate individually. This particular plate is $25.00 each and the buyer only wants 6 plates. When I set up the add the shipping was for only 1 plate, my question is how to I figure out the shipping for 6 plates ? Thanks

·3 years agoAs noted, pack them up and weigh the package. Plug in the weight and the box dimensions in the eBay shipping calculator. Note that it can be set to show either the retail ("in store") rate or the eBay postage price.

Then as discussed in the previous posts you should revise your listings so that one of them offers 6 plates and the other duplicate listing should be ended. Or you could revise the duplicate listing, to offer 6 plates as a set with the postage cost that you just figured out.

Listing is for one plate. Just stating in the description that there are 12 available does not make them available to purchase.
If you want to sell 12 but give buyers the choice of how many they purchase you would list the quantity as 12, not as one.

When you do that and enter the dimensions and weight for shipping for the 1 plate you will also be presented with the option to enter a shipping amount for each additional plate.
You can revise the current listing.

·3 years agoJust a heads up, but you've got those plates listed twice. You could revise one to be a quantity #6, with proper s&h.

I always get the "DUPLICATE" warning when I try such.

·3 years agoI was surprised by that, too. There are tiny differences between the listings' images and descriptions; perhaps that was enough to convince the bots that the items were different despite the matching titles.

·3 years agoPack the 6 plates up, and weigh them. Then create a listing with the 6 plates and shipping in it. List them at buy it now for the agreed upon price. Reduce the original listing by 6.

·3 years agoThat's exactly how it should be done.
Except that the listing is for just one plate, and the Description mentions, "I have 12 salad plates in mint condition at $ 25.00 each, the more you buy the cheaper they are." So they should set up a listing for 6, as you recommended.
Then revise the text and quantity available on the original listing, so it is a multi-quantity listing with 6 available.
And finally: delete the duplicate listing.
