I'm selling a baseball card sized item ( an ACEO) and selected the Global Shipping Program. A potential buyer messaged me saying the postage cost he sees is 44 dollars. It's an item that should be about 3 dollars to ship.

·3 years agoIf you are sending it via GSP, it is going as a package and at package rate. The only way it could be sent for $3.00 is loose in an envelope at international letter "plain white envelope" rate (and anything letter mail can't have a rigid protector to protect the card, so this international shipping method is definitely not recommended for many reasons.) It is absolutely possible to cost $44 via GSP, especially if the package weighs over 8oz. International package rates are crazy expensive now, even for lightweight items, and GSP is even more expensive (upfront) for the buyer.

·3 years agoActually I bought a postage stamp for a collection and it was shipped from Thailand for 3 dollars.
My item fits in an ordinary envelope.
So it's cheaper not to use the Global Shipping Program for envelope sized items?
