·2 weeks ago · EditedSell it locally if at all humanly possible. Some would probably being willing to travel a fair distance to get it. You would have to send it freight, which comes with serious financial risks if you don't have experience with freight and know exactly what you are doing. The correct packing materials required to ship power equipment will also be very expensive.

·2 weeks agoFreight is your only option and you talking hundreds of dollars. I shipped a 45 pound box (42x24x18) from Wisconsin to mass a while back and that was $250

Your shipping is going to cost a lot more then the buyer paid.

·2 weeks agoCall a freight shipper to find out about preps you have to make. You may possibly need a pallet and heavy duty wrap. Across country has to cost a fortune.

·2 weeks agoIf it is that pipe threader, I would be using a legit freight carrier like SAIA or RL Carriers etc.
Whatever you do, don't try to use UPS or Fedex.
Should have listed it as Freight rather than USPS GA. That way the buyer would not have been able to pay until you figured out what the freight would cost to their location. You then could have entered the freight charges as flat rate freight and the buyer would be paying the $300-$500 for the shipping, @fastk-81
That threader needs to go on a pallet, imo.

·2 weeks agoNot just weight but size comes into play. UPS would be my choices. UPS, I would open my own account and to ship. When shipping using either of those two through eBay, it eBays account so hard to take care of problems should they arise.
If you are asking about the Ridgid 300 pipe threader you just sold, see it is listed as local pickup, it's pretty bulky/heavy and doesn't qualify as ground advantage.
The maximum weight limit for USPS Ground Advantage is 70 pounds. This service allows you to send packages weighing anywhere from 1 ounce to 70 pounds, making it a cost-effective option for shipping within the U.S.
I am only seeing about $34 to ship to Portland Oregon, don't think that would cover the postage even if it could be shipped via the service offered. Did you have the correct package dimensions and weight entered when you listed or were you just guessing?
Personally, I would take the hit on my account if there is one by cancelling the transaction using problem with address and then block that buyer.
Remember that if the buyer opens a not as described return, you have to pay the return shipping and fully refund the buyer.
