Shipment unsuccessful, then redirected to somewhere else, how to reclaim
Greetings to all,
Bit of a noob here, buy something every few years, that's it. I ordered a book from abroad, according to tracking history it was shipped before date, was probably working at the time. Delivery unsuccessful my package got redirected to another city and successfully shipped to 'customer', I wonder to whom and why. Can't make heads or tails of this. If I was unable to get my post before, there was a notification about it having arrived and stored in depot/postoffice. No such thing now, first e-mail I got was 'congrats, shipment successful, delivered to customer in Salzburg.' I live in Vienna. Tried customer service on ebay, I didn't go far.
All I see are preprogrammed options unfit for my problem. Each route I take I end up with the moneyback guarantee option. I rather talk to the living and reclaim the book I paid for. Any chance someone could help? Thanks in advance! Ben

·3 years agoWhy not begin with contacting the shipper who appears to have delivered it elsewhere?
Does the actual TRACKING info state it was delivered to Salzburg or was that just a message you received from someone?

OP3 years agoIt is the actual tracking info stating that after unsuccessful delivery in Vienna it was in fact delivered to customer in Salzburg. Contacting the shipping agency is probably the best bet, however inexperienced as I am I can't seem to find name or contact to the shipping company. I am aware I may be asking self evident things here, sorry for that.
