Seller not shipping after 5 days
I ordered an item and the seller hasn’t shipped it after 5 days have passed. I tried messaging him but got no response. I don’t wish to cancel my order but can I contact eBay to make sure he ships it? I have already paid.

·10 months agoNo one can make anyone ship something. If a seller isn't shipping, they aren't shipping. If the item doesn't come all you can do is file a claim for the item not being received.
Btw, as sellers we get bell messages constantly reminding us to ship and also reminders if we are late in shipping. Your sellers sees these, and eBay isn't going to do anything more than that... except for too many no ships and the seller will be smoked

·10 months agoOpen an Item Not Received case as soon as you're able to. You can find a link to do this in your purchase history.

OP10 months agoThank you but it’s not that it hasn’t arrived at my address yet, it’s that the seller hasn’t even created the label or sent it out to be shipped yet, or at least hasn’t posed anywhere that he has, and isn’t responding to my message.

·10 months agoHi @towa5430
There is really nothing more that you can do until I believe three days after the item is to arrive. Then you can file an item not received claim. However, if for any reason the package shows a delivery and you don't actually receive the package then you would file a different kind of claim.
All sellers are not created equal. Some have better customer service than others. Also, sometimes something may have honestly happened to the seller that prevented them from messaging you back. I have read sometimes there can be hospital issues, car accidents, computer disasters, fires, floods, tornadoes, phones being stolen etc....that can prevent a seller from writing back to you.
Please come back after the three days is up after the expected delivery date if you have not heard from your seller and folks here can help you with the proper claim if necessary. Hopefully you won't have to.

·10 months agoUnless the rule has changed recently, the OP can open an INR case one day after the last estimated delivery date.
To the OP: In the listing where you made your purchase, you saw an estimated delivery date. The seller's only obligation, as far as eBay is concerned, is to get your item to you on or before that date. There is nothing you can do unless/until that date has passed by at least one day but less than 30 days.
For example: If I can mail you the package two days before that date, and the package arrives on that date, it's OK. Also, contacting eBay to make sure he ships it is a waste of your time. They have no way to make sure he ships it.
PS: If there is tracking indicating that the package is moving, eBay may ask you to give it a few more days. For a long time now, the USPS has been notoriously slow in movement. Example: When I mail ANYTHING in my town in NE Ohio, it goes to Cleveland first before it goes anywhere. Several of my grandchildren live here in town, but if I mail their birthday cards, they go to Cleveland first. That has to add a least one day to their traveling time.

·10 months ago5 days and so Im assuming you bought on Friday?
What is the estimated delivery date?
You can only request to cancel but the seller doesnt have to cancel.
If you bought on a Friday, and the seller has 3 days handling and they dont ship on Saturday, Sunday or Holidays ... The seller potentially doesnt have to ship until Thursday.
Yesterday was a federal holiday so no mail went out if the item is going USPS.
You need to look at the last estimated delivery date and if you dont have it by then file a Not Received case.
Sellers are not required to ship with tracking Or to respond to emails.
