Seller may be trying to scam me via shipping descriptions.
I purchased an item a little bit earlier today for $800. Not a big or very item its about 10 ounces and 4 inches long, 2.5 inches wide and 1 inch thick.
In the sellers header description he or she had the words "free shipping".
I even screenshot it. So i know he did.
Then in the body of the description he had the words "local pick up only".
I did not notice that, the words in the header being much bolder type and larger, I focused on that.
Now the seller is claiming local pick up only.
Its on the other side of the country.
Seller has not replied to my PMs.
Of course I put in a cancellation request.
I tied to call eBay, but thats hopeless.
I'm in limbo right now and a bit annoyed and anxious.
I consider the seller a scammer. He has exactly 98% feedback with about 1400 sales.
I never order anything from anyone with less then 99%, but again, I missed it.

·8 months agoBest case scenario, seller approves cancellation. Worst case scenario, you don't pay (if you haven't) and suffer a UI strike.
Afterthought... was there a 'Shipping Method' in the listing, or did it only show 'Local Pickup'? Listing #, please?

·8 months agoA seller can not cancel unpaid if the buyer submits an actual cancellation request that gets denied.
Only 1 cancellarion per order.

·8 months agoI mean calling them a scammer is a little much.
Many sellers are really confused on how to properly list an item.
Seems they listed it wrong, really on them, but i feel you are overreacting.
But if they listed it correctly and the selection was for free local pickup. Then they could do the same overreaction and claim you are trying to scam them by asking for something that wasn't part of the listing.
