Something for you to try on your next sale. I had a sale last week that was 1lb. 9oz. and I put it down as 4lb. and saved $1.98 on my shipping cost. That is with USPS. I have done it on 10 or 12 orders since discovering and saved myself about $20. Have no clue why this is? But it works

·1 month agoThat is because of the new (loony) 3-5lb discount (applicable to non-rural zip codes in the mainland 48 states) that makes it cheaper to ship than a 2lb box. Beware they just reduced this discount a few days ago, and this great-but-loony discount may go away very soon.
However, since you package only weighed 1lb 9oz (2 lb rate) and not 3.01-4lb you may be hit with an adjustment against you. Some have been hit by these "not heavy enough" adjustments, as insane as it sounds. Make your package actually weigh 2.01 or more to get the discount or you are risking an adjustment.

·1 month agoBe aware that some posters have said they were charged a postal adjustment for over stating the weight to get the better rate.
