Returns
Hi, I’m confused about a return case. The buyer returned the item and I paid the return postage, but I never received the payout for the original sale. The system is asking me to issue a refund even though the funds were not paid out to me. ?

·4 months agoCorrect, you are responsible for refunds, and possibly the return shipping depending upon your policies and ebay's MBG, even when they occur before you receive the payout.
Now, imagine if you sold a $2000 item as your first sale and it gets returned, eBay pulls that money right out of your bank. Once the payout is sent, you get your money back, but it can cause huge problems for unknowing sellers

·4 months agoAs a new seller the payout is on hold. New sellers can have holds often 30 days or less. The refund will come out of that. You may still owe if you purchased the shipping from eBay. Your in the UK and those rules could be a bit different. You can try asking on the UK board too.
