    return shipping

    I need some input on policy please. I sold a vintage lighter, in it's original box. I noted in the description that it has no fluid in it and doesn't spark. The item as listed "as is". A buyer contacted me and asked if it holds fluid. I told him since it is still in it's packaging I don't see why not, HOWEVER this is sold "as is". He purchased, then e-mailed me that he wants 2/3rd of the purchase price back to get it fixed, as I supposedly told him it would hold fluid. I declined. He has now opened a return request. I do not see that I was charged return shipping, but it appears Ebay issued a label?

    What to do and be within policy?

    Actually it was listed as Used not As Is......which wouldn't matter anyway if they opened INAD case

    If case was for INAD reason then the return shipping is paid by you, you give 100% refund when item is returned.

    Uh no, if they opened an item not as described you give them every penny back and you pay for return shipping.

    What was return reason shown on case?

    If "not as described" the seller pays return. Charge comes when label is actually used. Seller refunds buyer payment in full.

    If "remorse" return the buyer pays for the return label.

    Message from eBay should show the amount of refund requested. If a "remorse" return it may allow to deduct initial shipping paid by the buyer when you refund after getting the item back.
