·8 months agoProblem is for sales that come in Friday and Saturday, which ship after the holiday weekend you get burned on the shipping. The buyer pays the current rate, but then go to buy that label for Tuesday and your having to pay the difference. Anymore its not just some cents like it use to be it can be quite large depending on destination. That's always been a problem on here with every rate change.

·8 months agoI remember the first MLK Day. We went to the State Capitol to mingle with all the Black Folk in their finery, including my Stepson's Grandmother. It was a very proud, and momentous day. The television news was there, of course, and when everybody had lined up on the back wall under the rotunda the camera paned the crowd.
When they aired the clip that night they cut it off just when they got to me:( probably because I was wearing an old Levi Sherpa jacket that I had found on a job site (the best that I could do at the time))
MLK Day has mostly lost it's luster hereabouts, and Portland's MLK Boulevard has been gentrified.

·8 months agoWe will finish Prodigal Son which is an interesting view. We have previously watched most of the series suggested via online sources.
I'll probably just explore series I haven't heard of before. Sometimes they are very good even though there's little mention of them from "critics'.

·8 months agoAnd for some of us, a day to remember some of the horrible things America has done in the past, and reflect on what we can do to stop it from happening again.
It's all a matter of perspective.

·8 months agoMartin Luther King? Yes it's too bad alot of people don't bother to remember his message nowdays.
My father always taught me (he was a high steel worker) to never judge another man by anything other than his character. To never feel anything but pride to keep company with hardworking men of good character regardless of what other people might think. Race or national origion had nothing to do with it.
I grew up in a multi cultural atmosphere in little communities set up by the companies and/or Army Corps of Engineers near jobsites. Dams and bridges mainly in the Pacific Northwest along the Columbia river and tributaries.
I remember being shocked by the fact that there were so many people of low character with no work ethic when I got older......................................
