PWE stuck on "Out for Delivery"
I had an order that I shipped via Ebay PWE, meaning the only tracking number I have is the one eBay provides and not from USPS. It has been "Out for Delivery" since August 31st. Is there any way I can get additional information or tracking on an eBay PWE? Thankfully, my buyer has been very understanding, but I would like to give them an update.
Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you solve it?

·3 weeks agoAt some distribution centers, they use the out for delivery scan as the last scan.
Since the delivered scan is also done at that distribution center, there is no way to get a delivered scan.
If the buyer has a problem and claims it is not delivered. Refund and file the PIP claim.
ESE is a great time waster.

·3 weeks agoSometimes letter mail can be kicked out of the system (or misrouted). end up in a bin for manual sorting and end up arriving a week or two late. Since it is not yet 2 weeks since you mailed it, you could try explaining this to the buyer and see if they will wait until the end of next week to see if it arrives. Sometimes buyers are patient and understanding if you explain this, some... may not be, but you can try. If your envelope was too rigid (like if you used a top loader) it is more likely to be kicked out, but it could be kicked out by mistake or misrouted anyway.
You could also ask them to check with their post office to see if they have it and misplaced it. It sounds silly, but I had a few ESEs go missing and their local post office had it and found it when the buyer asked them to check.

·3 weeks agoI would give it three weeks and then refund. Let the buyer know that.

·3 weeks agoThe buyer says they haven't received it? At this point, it's been lost or miss delivered (it's also possible the buyer is lying, but those types tend to go straight to a claim). Have your buyer file a 'not received' claim (you'll need screenshots of this) and refund them, then go here to file an insurance claim.
ESE can only be tracked through eBay. About 5% of my ESE don't get the 'delivered' scan. It's an inherent flaw in the automated scanning. Depending on the technology at the destination PO, the 'delivered' scan actually happens either: when it passes through the final sorting machine, when the carrier leaves the facility or when the truck enter the geofence of the recipient's address. There are many ways for the envelope to skip any of these and end at 'out for delivery'.

·3 weeks agoon your sold item...click on the esu tracking number..when that page opens look for the shipping history, then click on the esu number. if that does not show delivered you will probably need to refund and file for the pip refund on ebay
