·3 years agoRegardless of what the other seller or merchant is willing to do, I don't think that it is possible to print a label on ebay unless you have actually sold that item on this site. Perhaps there is some sort of 'unusual' way to do it but afaik you would need an ebay transaction to do it on.
But there are other sites such as Pirateship that you could join that allow you to print a commercial label for a non ebay transaction. Keep in mind that the other seller's shipping cost is more than just the cost of postage which could explain the extra costs.

OP3 years agobecause I wish to buy a furniture piece from a merchant that is selling on e-bay but is using external freight to ship it, which I believe the cost is too much for such - I wish to see with the measurements/weights that I have I can have a much better deal

·3 years agoBuyers cannot change a sellers TOS which includes how and item is shipped and what shipping service and cost is posted in a listing. It’s not negotiable. Seller would lose what little seller protection eBay offers for what you’re asking.

·3 years agoEven if you verify that all the shipping info on a buyer-provided label is correct, the buyer is the one that paid the shipping company, so that means the buyer can do a package redirect and have it sent somewhere else or returned to sender, voiding your seller protection.

·3 years agoWell, technically, yes it can be done. BUT any merchant worth their salt would refuse to accept your label.
There is a long and valid list as to why I, and other sellers, would refuse. Experience has shown that if I list the reasons you will have a counter argument, all of which are irrelevant. Simply understand that it will not be accepted.

·3 years agoNO. The seller is responsible for the shipping label. He needs to do this to protect his seller rights. Do NOT even ask the seller because they just might go ahead and block you.

OP3 years agoin this case he seems to use an external freight company (that I thing is too high in cost for such item- it's a furniture piece) - and they actually suggested that if I find a better shipping solution that works for me I can give them the shipping details
