Purchase USPS MM label Tracking # Not recognized by USPS

Question

Early this morning I was printing up USPS MM shipping labels as usual. The postal carrier picked up the packages scanned them. I checked on eBay for all the tracking numbers showing carrier has the package except one. The tracking number when I put it in USPS website says :

Not Trackable

Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site.

This is the tracking number for the order.

Iâ€™m certain the package will either find its way back to me or Iâ€™ll get a second charge for it.
Has anyone ever had this happen?
In the mean time Iâ€™m going to put together another package for my buyer but Iâ€™m taking it to the post office.

Probably just a delay. USPS can take 24 hours for a scan to show up on their website.

Just this morning I had a buyer asking me about when a package would ship - it was shipped yesterday but USPS.com was showing the exact same message you posted above. Priority mail package. A few hours later four tracking scans dating back to yesterday's acceptance appeared.

Adding: it was the only package from yesterday showing that message. All packages were scanned in at the same time. When tracking did eventually populate it showed the same acceptance time stamp as the other packages.

Did you copy-and-paste, or type it in? Perhaps there's a typo.
