Puerto Rico included in Flat Rate Shipping, Excluded from Calculated Shipping
I offer flat rate USPS Priority Mail and UPS Ground domestic to my customers for $4.99 and $3.99 respectively.
I don't know if it was always possible, but a customer in Puerto Rico just chose UPS Ground which is very expensive from the US to Puerto Rico.
I tried fixing this in my shipping options, and discovered that Flat Rate "Cost Type" shipping INCLUDES Puerto Rico, whereas Calculated Cost Type EXCLUDES Puerto Rico.
I tried to use a rate table, that won't engage - I'm guessing that a rate table works as a Flat Rate Cost Type.
Shouldn't Puerto Rico be handled the same for both Calculated and Flat Rate Cost Types?

OP2 years agoFor further discussion, Puerto Rico appears as an individual country within the "Shipping, returns, and payments" tab on the product listing page, and on other listings with identical shipping settings, it is not listed as an individual country.

·2 years agoPR is handled the same for both calculated and flat rate shipping. It sounds like you are using biz policies, is that correct?
If the answer is yes, then it may be that you applied a shipping exclusion for PR to your calc shipping policy, but not to your flat rate policy.

OP2 years agoI don't know what "biz policies" is/are. I have no shipping exclusions.
Ebay is treating Puerto Rico differently in Calculated vs. Flat Rate cost types.
