Provided proof of delivery but Ebay refunded Buyer who purchased through an Export Co off Ebay
An international buyer purchased through another site (?) that has an account on Ebay. I mailed the product to the address given to me when I printed out the label through Ebay Shipping. Buyer filed an "item not received" - I provided the tracking proof from the orders page to the buyer. Ebay sided with the Buyer - stated that I didn't provide proof that the buyer received the item, I provided proof that it made it to the global export business address on the shipping label that I purchased through Ebay. Apparently, this customer ordered through this global export business that I sent the package to (address given to me via Ebay orders) and it never reached her international location and ebay made me refund in full. Perfect set up - the global export gets a free item to flip, shafts the first customer and the unsuspecting seller. I paid for the product, the shipping and refunded the first buyer and Ebay is saying it's my fault. ??? Any options? Ebay won't let me contest it.

OP8 months agoAfter researching other sites and an AI overview 🙄 - it would appear that this person used a freight forwarding service and an Ebay bot or a customer service rep who doesn't know anything about freight forwarding services and didn't recognize the location as one (although I stated that in my INR response, Hence - the business name - global export) - made the decision to boink me and it's easier to get a hold of my spirit guides, aliens, my husband in a building with a cell phone signal block and resurrect the dead than it is to speak to an Ebay customer service rep.

·8 months agoSounds like you did NOT respond to the NR case that ebay sent you as you stated you 'PROVIDED IT TO THE BUYER' .....but did you provide it to ebays case that they messaged you about?
thewearhouserevival
OP8 months agoI did, they sent me the notification and asked me to resolve it by refunding/responding or uploading tracking info, which I did. I responded and copy/pasted the tracking info which I can't upload bc it's already uploaded and available on the orders page. They sent me a message telling me the buyer escalated it by reaching out to Ebay customer serv. and there was nothing else for me to do - they would make a decision in 48 hours. They sided with her. Apparently she used a freight fowarding company out of Miami, which should have voided her buyer protection bc she chose not to go through Ebay's international shipping. I've responded the same way with each Item not received claim - why I always purchase the shipping through ebay. I can't upload shipping info that is already uploaded, I always reiterate the tracking information and give the exact date/time is was delivered and refer back to the tracking number attached to the order.

·8 months agoIt is NOT something you 'upload/download'. You simply manually input the tracking numbers in the case. Still sounds like it was NOT the case you were responding to, or you tried to upload something that was not taking uploads. Shipping to a FF is done all the item and has NOTHING to do with the way you responded. If it was going to Miami Fl zip code 33001 or close to, and that was the address and the tracking showed it was 'delivered' to that zip; woulda been a done deal.

OP8 months agoWhen I hit “upload tracking†my tracking number is already there and the box is shadowed out because the number is automatically in that space. Because I didn’t click that box and verify that the tracking number was shadowed out, I forfeited the IND case? Seems archaic if you are purchasing the shipping through ebay, but good to know.

·8 months agoI've had INRs and I've had INR's from FF international Customers and it's all the same and has nothing to do with the customer using a FF.
If tracking showed delivered and you manually entered the tracking number in the case that was asked of you, where there is no where to 'upload' something, manually input that info.
Bottom line, you gave them nothing so buyer wins.

OP8 months agoI’m not going to argue with you abt this: scroll to number 3 - that is what happens when I click to enter tracking. The system must be set up to where you must verify that the tracking is grayed out, if so, then I must not have done that by your logic. I assumed it was automatic since it’s always grayed out and I use ebay shipping. It’s nonsensical to make sellers click a box to validate the tracking # is grayed out when it’s an ebay shipping label. So this would be a cautionary tale to sellers - press every box and then press it again - make sure that box is grayed out, don’t assume. The more you know….

·8 months agoThis doesn't make sense. What's the item number? Can you post the last tracking scan?
Also, what shipping service was used? I'm wondering if this was an eISD shipment as that's the only thing that really fits. Did the tracking number begin with ESUS?

OP8 months agoI don't know what I am allowed to post and not allowed to post but it was delivered to an Export Business in South Florida but the customer lives in another country which I didn't know until I looked at her profile. USPS tracking states it was "Delivered to Agent, Left with Individual" on December 29, 2025, 9:47 am

·8 months agoThanks - that's all we need to know here.
Buyer obviously appealed to CS and got them to make an incorrect decision. My guess is perhaps this was a buyer scam taking advantage of a zip code mis-match. some freight forwarders in Miami/Doral have their own zip due to volume and buyer will put the wrong zip on the order. Can you check the zip on the order vs the zip on the delivery scan and let me know what they are?
File an appeal @thewearhouserevival . You are covered here with seller protections because you have tracking confirming delivery to the address on the order. Make sure you mention (if given the opportunity to add comments) that it was delivered to a freight forwarder. If you run into any other questions or problems with the appeal, come back here and @ tag me on the reply and I'll help.

OP8 months agoThank you so much for your help!
usps delivery scan is Miami zip 33195
Ebay address label Miami zip 33166-2732
wastingtime101
·8 months agoYep, exactly what I thought. Follow what I said in the last message and point out in your appeal that the item was delivered using an eBay label to the address on the order, and that both zip codes are recognized for the same address by USPS because it is a freight forwarder. Come back if you need more help.
Edit: Also, add that buyer to your blocked list. You don't need to deal with scammers like that.

OP8 months agoAlready added them to my block list. Now I know what to look for if this happens again and how to respond.

OP8 months agoIt let me appeal via email, thanks again!!

OP8 months ago@wastingtime101 I cannot thank you enough! I went on FB and messaged CS. I told them exactly what you explained to me and sent them snapshots of the buyer's address with zip on google maps -> how it matched up with the scanned USPS address in the delivered tracking confirmation and the buyer’s address on their Ebay account which showed a different zip code. I reiterated that this is a freight forwarding company exploiting ebay’s IND policy by a loophole etc and they reversed their decision and I am going to get my refund back! Yay!
Thanks again!

OP8 months agoNo, regular USPS tracking number that starts with 9434....I googled the address and it's a little office/warehouse in Miami and I just got another order from another Export business in close proximity to this location.
