Is anyone else having problems with ebay processing labels today??
Hey @pokers_21! Here is an update from the Shipping team:
"Our teams are actively working to return any funds charged for these impacted transactions to your account as quickly as possible. You don’t need to take any action—refunds will be processed automatically, either to your PayPal account or to your eBay account."
I had most of my charges refunded except for 1. The labels don't show in the label history so you can't choose to cancel but the charge is there from funds. Anyone know how to get the 1 label refunded that didn't process correctly?
Edit: Nevermind, it seems the label has now been refunded.
I'm in the same situation. 3/4 labels were automatically voided and credited back to me. One of those three happened about an hour after the first two voids. So I'm hoping the final void happens soon.

Hey @pokers_21! Thank you for reporting this issue. We are aware and are working on a solution as many sellers have reported that when trying to purchase shipping labels, sellers are receiving an error and did not provide the label for the order but were charged to their PayPal account.
There is an open ticket under ALERT16439 and I will be sure to update as we get new status updates.
I paid for 4 labels using "your funds" with my ebay managed payments. Unable to generate them. On my recent activity list I see -$23.43 (4 labels) and then two separate +$ transactions for two labels that were voided. So for whatever reason, 2 of my 4 labels were voided... and I have 0 / 4 labels to ship with.
I'll be checking this forum thread for updates. Please let us know if you have success generating labels. I'm afraid to try again.
I just had a completely different issue. It went through the label creation process fine, allowed me to print the labels. Then when I go back to my orders waiting shipment, it says those items have not yet shipped. The link for Shipping Labels to go in and check to see if the labels were showing up is gone.
Now I am stuck with trying to figure out if those labels are even valid and screw up the shipment if I try to use them.
Edit: The orders that the labels were printed for have now dropped off the ship list and I can access the shipping label list now.
Same issue and the problem with the double charge on my label(s) is they're not refundable because they're eBay Standard Envelope. I doubt its worth my time to call in to get a credit though.
Couldn't print labels for a while, then got lucky and was able to print 8 of 10. No luck again after that. Now, looking at paypal, I've been charged for 14 labels 😮
How can you get refund for those 14 labels? I have same issue, I have two labels charged to my paypal account. I don't know how to get money back, should I contact ebay? or Paypal? Thanks!
I'm not sure how to get refunded. Hopefully they can do it from their end. I looked at my email notifications from Paypal and have identified which ones are bogus. It's pretty easy to figure out, as they are in chronological order. I have 6 phantom labels for a total of $43.82. I could just dispute them via Paypal, but who knows what that would result in--probably a lifetime ban from ebay, lol.
I know I'm not the only one feeling like... Thank God that this is happening to everyone right now. Tells me I just need to wait until Big eBay figures out the solution. No point in me calling CS just to be the 10,000th customer call about shipping labels.

I just had the same experience, then suddenly it worked and printed my label, however when I went into the order details, it charged me like 3 times or more for the label! So beware of that, now I'm waiting on a call back from Ebay customer service, which is currently a 32 minute wait...LOL!
If you don't have to get it out immediately, I'd probably give the system awhile to hopefully resolve the issue first, however I would still check my statement to make sure you don't get hit with charges for the original labels you attempted to generate!
I was also unable to ship a label, and I had no problems earlier this morning. I need to get this package shipped ASAP as he ordered an hour or two ago but I wish to provide him tracking ASAP as it was a $150 purchase.
My error said Unable to process payment and Please note that eBay is having technical issues with FedEx, UPS, and USPS and to try again later. I tried 3 times with no success. I put a chat in to get a call back to see what the ETA will be and ask if I should go to the post office and do it the old fashioned way and plug in the number to eBay manually. Still awaiting call back at the moment.
Yes. We pay for labels with PayPal, and it stated that that eBay was unable to process the payment.
Voila! PayPal charged us for the label anyway.
Naturally, went to the eBay Shipping Labels page, and there is no record of the label.
Attempted again, and same problem- PayPal was charged, but no label.
This is going to be a MAJOR problem with many sellers having to go through PayPal to request refunds (if eBay cannot post details of completed / not completed label purchases)!!

Still don't know how to get the refund from those 2 labels that charged through paypal but not showing up on my label section.

·8 months agoYup, getting an error that labels cannot be generated. On top of postal delays due to the weather, this is especially bad for us sellers.
