problems with shipping to a buyer
Hello, I sold a radio
When I am about to pack the one I bought it tells me not to send it by USPS but to send it by fedex
I told him it's okay
When I went to fedex they wanted to charge me 26.36 solar for shipping
The shipping cost that the one I bought paid was 8.89 dollars.
When I send another message to the buyer to pay the difference, the buyer does not respond to me.
What I can do?
I wait until tomorrow?I call eBay because this could affect my sales by not doing the shipping label today
the buyer's message was like this
please use Fedex or UPS(USPS is so many parcles go there warehouse, they aloways deliver to neighbour. Fedex home or UPS Ground also ok)

·2 years agoNot sure I understand the concern here, you ship it the service the buyer chose when they paid. Unless you use a FASTER service, you don't make any changes after it is paid for even if they ask.

·2 years agoIf you have not contacted buyer...I would just mail it out...and take the chances since it was a week-end where a lot of sellers do not answer emails on the week-end.
You could mail it as is...and then say I just read your email and say I am so sorry but just read your email among the many I get...Another thought...just a thought.

·2 years agoYour listing shows USPS Priority Mail. That is what you should be using. Your buyer could see that before purchasing but decided to purchase anyway and then attempt to change the terms of sale. Why are you letting this buyer dicatate how you run your business?

·2 years agoFully agree, although it's possible UPS Ground will be less than USPS Priority through eBay labels if the OP is willing to use that service and comes back with wt/dim.
Otherwise they should give the buyer the choice - ship Priority mail as advertised or cancel the order as buyer requested for trying to change terms of sale.

·2 years agoWould be nice but:
"seller does not respond to me"..."I wait until tomorrow"..."give the buyer a choice"...would I take up my time today and tomorrow for this one sale?...
Seller probably already did what they decided to do and we will never know what seller did...LOL.

There's feedback to think about. Will the buyer be happy?
Sometimes we take a loss on a sale.
I use USPS and would not use another shipping source...unless I really have to.
I would send it the way the buyer wants...and send a friendly email what the addition cost is(not was).
And block the buyer from future purchases afterwards...like in 60 days.
I am one of the lucky ones where I can walk into a FedEx or UPS Store to mail something.
And I would probably email the buyer the "receipt" of what the mailing cost is.
Good Luck.

·2 years agoHi @cristian3_6 - what are the package weight and dimensions? What are the ship to and ship from zip codes? With that info we can either help you find the best shipping solution, or offer advice on how to deal with the transaction if you are unable to cost-effectively change shipping method from what was advertised on the listing.

OP2 years agoHello, thank you for responding quickly.
I always ship via USPS, it seems cheaper to me and it is priority mail.
This time the buyer asked me to send it by FedEx, I said yes, but when I went to FedEx they told me that the shipping cost was 26.36 dollars and with the USPS it only cost me 10 dollars.
I sent him a message and the buyer did not respond
that's the problem
If Tomorrow doesn't respond, will I have to call ebay costumer support and tell them?
If the buyer pays the difference I have no problem sending it from FedEx
