Problem with Shipping Information Entered in Listing
Has anyone noticed a problem, or glitch, when entering your Shipping information in a draft? I keep noticing that the package weights and dimensions keep changing back to whatever the default, or "suggested" settings were. Luckily I have caught most of them before actually listing the items, but occasionally a few of my buyers have been overcharged for crazy package dimensions. Is this something that has been reported as a glitch by anyone, or should I report it myself? Just wondering.....thanks!

·6 months agoWhen you enter weight/dimensions, are you clicking the "apply" link below? The "apply" link is for applying eBay's estimated weight/dim.

OP6 months agoNo, I don't click "Apply". I thought that maybe I was clicking that at some point on accident, but I am not. Sometimes it may not even change to whatever the default was, sometimes it will just put a random number where there was a zero, or add a zero after a number. For example, I had a shirt set at 0 lbs. 8 oz. and later when I went back in to finish the draft and list the item, it had changed to 2 lbs. 8 oz.

·6 months agoI haven't seen anybody else reporting this kind of error unless they were inadvertently applying eBay's estimates, and I pay pretty close to all shipping related posts on various forums.
How long has this been happening? If it's been a while, then the issue is likely on your end somewhere.
It's possible the listing form is laggy, especially if you're using an older computer/software. If you enter data and don't wait for the listing form to register the data before moving on to the next field, data can revert to the previously filled entry.
Try slowing down when you get to that section of the form and pay closer attention to typos, making sure data saves, etc. You may need to go back and re-check weight/dim before publishing your listings. That's the best advice I can offer right now.
