Problem with delivery status

I already received my package, but eBay still shows the shipment as “on the way”.
The item does not match the listing description, and the seller already agreed to issue a refund.
The problem is that I cannot open a refund request because the system thinks the package has not been delivered yet.
I already tried contacting support, but the automated bot does not help.
Has anyone had this issue before, and how can I get eBay to update the delivery status or manually enable the refund request?

·4 months agoDid you actually open an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED CASE? When you do that through eBay, the seller is required to send you a prepaid return label and to refund in total when he receives the returned item. To the best of my knowledge, that's the absolute only way to get a refund in this case. When you do that, the seller has just a few days to send the label or to refund and let you keep the item.
Whether or not the delivery status is updated has no play here. There are probably plenty of transactions where tracking does not show the item as having been delivered as well as plenty where no tracking was obtained.

OP4 months agoNo, I cannot open an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED case because eBay still shows the package as “in transit”.
When I click the refund option, the site tells me that the item has not been delivered yet and that I need to wait for delivery.
The problem is that I already received the package physically, and the seller already agreed to refund me.
