Printed eBay label out mailed it and now no tracking info is anywhere????

This is the first time using the board so I am not sure where to post this. I cannot talk to a real person at eBay and it is very frustrating. Anyway I printed out a USPS eBay label like I always do. At my P.O. when they are really busy they allow me to drop my packages off at the desk. I did that with a package which had a USPS eBay label on it with quite a few other ones. All the packages showed as the carrier has received them except one package. Now I cannot find any tracking info on the USPS website nor can the USPS on this particular package. What on earth happened. How can I print out a good label, drop the package off, have it scanned in and now nobody knows where it is. This is crazy. Thanks for any help. Customer is upset that they didn't get package and that they cannot track it. I have sent eBay an email and waiting to hear back from them. I have given up on the A I help. All I want is to talk with a real person about this. Thanks for any help someone may offer me.

You say the post office was busy so you dropped the packages off at the desk. This implies the clerk did not scan them at the time you dropped them off. You then say you can't understand how a package is lost because, among other things, you had it scanned. If you merely dropped it off and then left, you didn't have it scanned. You dropped it off and depending on the clerk to do their job.
If that is what happened, you are out of luck. It is always best to wait in line and get a receipt from the clerk showing it was accepted. If they are busy, as you stated, they were were likely in a rush and missed one of the packages.
eBay customer service cannot help you. Also, be weary of any email address you find online for eBay. There are many fake emails out there.
If the package is never scanned as delivered and your buyer should open an Item Not Received case, you will have to refund them and eat the loss. Odds are they will get their package. It isn't lost, it is just untracked. The problem is without a proper scan showing it was delivered, you can't prove otherwise.
Send your buyer a message and apologize. Let them know you cannot control whether the carrier scans packages, but that if they do not have it by the last estimated delivery date then to open an Item Not Recieved case and you'll refund them. This should calm them down and it shows you are taking charge.

If you didn't get it scanned when you dropped it off, you have no proof it was shipped.
