Preparation to print shipping label & size & weight not visible
Summary: reborn2c517 is helping their son with his first sale on a new account but encountered an issue where the shipping label does not show weight and dimensions before printing. fabrics24 and albertabrightalberta suggest checking the shipping settings, but reborn2c517 confirms using USPS ground advantage calculated shipping. thriftyfiftyfifty suggests the son might be auto-enrolled in "Ship With eBay" and explains how to switch back to normal shipping. They recommend using Seller Hub to address shipping calculation issues, and reborn2c517 acknowledges setting up business policies and Seller Hub to fix the problem.
Hello! I have been selling for a few years and was helping my son with his new account and when we went to print the shipping
label for his first sale it didn't show the weight and package dimensions prior to printing like it does for me. It just says print label!?
I am thrown off by this, has something changed? He had a listing that he had several available and one buyer bought multiple so
we were wanting to be certain the the weight and dimensions would be correct as this changed the weight as well as a different type of package is needed with multiple.
Please help lol. I don't want anything to go wrong for him with his first sale.

·1 week agoNew Account...sounds like he may be auto enrolled in "Ship With eBay". When listing does it resemble this format? That could be the culprit.

OP1 week agoyes! it does. How can he get back to normal shipping? I don't think it's a good idea, if for some reason ebay screws up with a situation like his multiple item order, he could get charged by usps.

·1 week ago@reborn2c517 The program is suppose to automatically calculate for Multiple Item Orders under certain circumstances and the Label should adjust. Reference your get out question though: Apparently it will Opt you out if he starts using Seller Hub or Business Policies and a few other exceptions. Personally I would definitely start using Seller Hub as the easiest and quickest choice.

OP1 week agoI helped him set up business policies and opted him into the hub as well. I didn't realize that was not something that was. automatically available until I looked at his ebay and noticed things looked much different than mine. I am not certain if his sale went through before we set this up but I felt like it was set up prior to the sale. His first sale came pretty quick, hard to remember. Thanks for your help

·1 week agoCould be...supposedly those are just two of the disqualifiers according to eBay published guidelines. Let us know what you find out though if it does in fact revert him back out of the program. Am curious now.

·1 week agoWithout seeing the listing, it's hard to say what's happening but my guess is that he listed as being shipped by Priority mail using one of the flat rate boxes or envelopes.
If that's the case, the item does need to be shipped by priority mail but there should be a dropdown in which you can input weight and measurements and if non-flat rate PM is cheaper, you can choose that.
It would be helpful if you'd post the item number.

OP1 week agoNo, I helped him set everything up. We only listed usps ground advantage calculated shipping as an option, nothing else. That is how mine is set up as well. I did hear something recently that ebay was going to make some changes as far as shipping and wondered if that was the issue.

·1 week agoHmm, this is a puzzle! Does he have his shipping type set as flat rate?
