Package Vanished
A little over a month and 5 days ago I sold a phone. It was supposed go from Los Angeles, CA to FLAVIO ALFARO, Ecuador. But the tracking stopped at Processed Through Facility. It has been like that for a week now. The package was supposed to arrive January 26 - February 9. And still hasn't arrived. The customer is very concerned. What should I do?

·6 months agoIf you used eIS, then you are not responsible for the package to arrive in Ecuador, its ebay' responsibility and you are out of the equation as far as returns, refunds or delivery....but if you used ebay's international standard delivery, as mentioned by @wastingtime101 , then you are 100% responsible. Still not clear what you did use

·6 months agoYou offered direct shipping via USPS First Class Package International.
That wasn't a great plan because as you can see here, Ecuador is not on the e-delcon list which means tracking stops when the package leaves the US. You will have no way to track or prove delivery after it leaves the US.
You can try tracking it on parcelsapp.com to see if you get more info, but that will only work if Ecuador's local post registers tracking updates.

·6 months agoOK if you used eBay International Standard Delivery (eISD) you are still responsible for the package end-to-end.
If the buyer files a non-receipt claim and there's no movement or delivery, then you can refund them through that claim.
Then you'd file an insurance claim. Instructions:

I still suggest tracking through parcelsapp.com to see if it provides more info. The package might be stuuck in customs awaiting the buyer to pay import fees and that falls to them, not to you. Come back if you need more help @superelectronicsusa .

Eisd is an older, and was supposed to be discontinued shipping service.
Ebay international standard delivery.
Its a form of direct international shipping. It does have some insurance but not the same protections as eis.
Eis which is eBay international shipping program.
With eIS once the package is delivered to the hub in Illinois, you are done. If it disappears all of it is eBays problem, you keep the money no matter what, even if it arrives to the buyer and is broken, or any return. Ebay pays for all refunds with eIS, as long as it was delivered to the Illinois hub.
