Package returned to sender after delivery
I shipped a package Dec. 19, and it was delivered Dec. 23. Yesterday the package was returned to me that said "unable to forward." The buyer did not contact me after delivery and I had no idea it was coming back. I messaged the buyer yesterday and he gave me another address to reship and offered to pay shipping. I'm not sure how to go about this. The original tracking says it was delivered. It doesn't show that it came back to me. Do I cancel the order and refund? Advice appreciated. Thank you.

·9 months agoTo stay fully protected, you must ship only to the address provided on the original order. If you ship to a different address—even at the buyer’s request—you lose your protection against an Item Not Received claim.
Since the package was returned to you and the buyer now wants it sent to a new address, the safest option is to cancel the transaction and refund. Then relist the item.
If the buyer still wants it, they can repurchase and enter the correct address at checkout. Just remind them to update their shipping information before paying. This keeps you covered and avoids any risk of an INR dispute later.

·9 months agoThe original package was "delivered". The buyer can't win an INR.

·9 months agoSince tracking showed delivered at buyers old address far as ebay is concerned . I would recommend the OP to request a call back to talk with a supervisor. .

·9 months agoYou might also gently remind your buyer that a forwarding notice on file with his local USPS goes a long way toward eliminating issues like this.

·9 months agoI'd say have the buyer Paypal you the money for a new label and ship it to the new address. They can't INR you since there's a delivered scan already. You'll have to buy the label from usps.com, pirateship or the like.
