Package delivered to a parcel locker is this a normal thing?
So have an odd question or maybe not. This is the first time I received a notification that a package I sent out was delivered to a parcel locker. I looked it up and it seems they do this for large packages that are to big for a mailbox but I just mailed a small JBL speaker so seems kinda odd. Don't have many sales compared to you seasoned sellers so just wondering if this is something I should expect more and if there's anything to worry about.

·4 months agoThere are many different reasons for deployment of parcel lockers.
Some POs will place any mail which does not fit in a PO box at the post office, in a parcel locker.
There are developments which have a central area for mail delivery with anything which does not fit in the homeowner's mailbox placed in a parcel locker.
Probably more different types/

·4 months agoMany packages I've shipped to NYC apartment buildings have said that, never had a problem. Google the address and see if it's a building or some sort of complex. Better that than being left for a porch pirate.

·4 months agoYes, quite normal...I have a "Community Mailbox" and if my mail is too big for the skinny Letter box, tracking will indicate that it is in the larger "Parcel Locker" attached to the cluster. Otherwise, Tracking indicates "Delivered at/in Mailbox".

·4 months agoJust curious: For instance, what happens at Christmas time when presumably a lot of packages would be arriving and the parcel locker can get too fill to accept any more packages ?

·4 months agoThose are used in areas that have clustered mail boxes. They have some of those by the boxes and put items that won't fit. They then leave the key in the person's mail box for them to retrive the item.

·4 months agoYou have evidence of delivery, so seems like you are OK. At my PO, if a package is too large for your mailbox, they put a little card in your box and you present the card at the window to get your package. Some of the clerks ask for ID, some don't.

Normal. I see this fairly often with some of my shipments. Usually means the package is held on request of the buyer, or for other reasons. Sometimes it gets delivered again a day later too. I haven't had any issues with an item that this happened to, so don't worry too much about it.
