Package delay at IL global shipping hub
I've never had a problem shipping overseas, packages go to the global shipping hub in IL. That changed this month. A package I sent arrived at the global hub 7 days ago and hasn't moved since. Is it likely lost?

Items are shipped from the hub on a space available basis on passenger flights. It's possible that the storms that affected the N.E. part of the country last week, causing many flight cancellations and delays interrupted the flow.
Because the items are sent through commercial carriers, items being sent to countries that do not get a lot of traffic from the U.S. may take longer to ship because they aren't shipped until there are enough items to fill a container. That being said, there seems to be some delay issues between the USPS Glendale distribution center and the actual Customs center at O'hare Intl. Airport a few miles away.
