Over Paying for Shipping Cost.
My wife and I both have an eBay store. However, there is a wide discrepancy when we use USPS Ground Advantage. For an example: if I list an item 2lbs 8ozs that measures 9" x 7" x 5" the calculated price is $6.57 - 11.84. When she lists an item using USPS Ground Advantage under her account with the same weight & measurements the calculated price is $11.30 - 22.40. What is she doing wrong that results in overpayment of shipping for the same service I use. Thank you.

·4 months agoEBAY gets cheaper discounted "negotiated rates". If you print labels from USPS, you have to pay full retail price.

·4 months ago...and are shown as originating in the same Ship From ZIP location? That can affect the postage price. Your "Ship from address" choices are stored in this page: https://accountsettings.ebay.com/uas/addresses
(More than one can be stored.)

·4 months agoYou probably have your shipping settings set up differently.
You are most likely offering your buyers the ebay discounted shipping price on your listings and your wife is offering the full retail price on here.

Another possibility that comes to mind is that your wife's account has somehow got the Irregular Package checkbox checked accidentally (which I have seen in screenshots posted here by others), although at this moment I could not find it in my shipping area. Must be in a different shipping form.

·4 months agoYou are both correct. What you are doing is giving your buyers the Ebay discount. What she is doing is not giving her buyers the Ebay discount and charging regular retail rate. When a label is purchased you are making nothing. When a label is purchased for her she is making money. If she wants to charge Ebay label rate she needs to change it to that if it's allowed.
