Order says estimated for April 5th, tracking says it has label, but not shipped.
So I recently bought an item that is very very special to me. It has a shipping label provided as of March 26th. eBay said, and still says it will arrive April 5th. However, the tracking with USPS says the item hasn't even been shipped to my local distribution center and is still at the point of origin (where the item is coming from). Is it possible that the item in question is in fact being shipped and expected to be delivered tomorrow or is USPS that incompetent they can't get a package to me in the span of 2 weeks? Fyi I don't live far from where the item is coming from.

"Expected date of delivery"...is that on the item sold?...You can't do anything until after that date of course.
USPS is rather good in getting items delivered...that's who I use.
Never had an item lost last year or this year to date. So....USPS is not incompetent...it's like any other shipping source.
March 26th - April 5th..."in span of 2 weeks"...8 business days so far...not 2 weeks...2 weeks is 14 days I believe.

Nothing worse than not knowing if you are going to get an item you really want!
However, I would stick to the date suggested. Just because there isn't any tracking or movement doesn't mean there isn't any.
However, after that day, you can put in for an item not received request. This will start the process of getting your issue resolved.
Have you communicated with the seller at all during this period?
Once you open a case, do not close it till the problem is resolved by the seller or 3 business days have passed. If the seller resolves it, great! If not, have eBay step in after those 3 days and they will take care of you, most likely with a full refund of your purchase.
After you open a case, If the seller tries to tell you that they can't fix it unless you close the case, this is a lie! They can fix the problem without you doing anything further. So they either need to resolve it, or you can have eBay resolve it for them.
Good luck!
