No New Tracking Info for Over Two Weeks
Hello, I sent an item from the United States to someone in France. The item first went to Ebay's International Hub in Illinois, then was shipped via DHL to France. According to the tracking, the latest update says "Departing From Local Distribution Center - FFROIC, FR" on June 11. There have been no updates since. The seller is rightfully concerned that the item might be lost. I have contacted DHL about the item, but have not heard back. Is there anything else I can do to find out the status of the item? Are ebay sellers protected from couriers losing items? Thanks!

·1 year agoIf the item was shipped thru the Ebay International Shipping (EIS) program, yes the seller is covered.
Ebay handles everything after it reaches the EIS hub.
The only thing you can do is follow the tracking ebay provides.
2-4 weeks for end to end delivery is not unusual.
What is the latest estimated delivery date that was provided by eBay when the item was purchased?

OP1 year agoThank you, the latest estimated delivery date is July 2nd. So there's still a few days left.

·1 year agoIf you shipped using Ebay International Shipping and the item made it to the hub, your job is done.
Anything that happens after it reached the hub, Ebay will take care of it.
Tell buyer, after the estimated delivery date, open an item not received case.
