No longer able to edit buyer address before shipping?
Summary: topqualityclothes noted that they could no longer edit buyer addresses to fix formatting issues or add missing information, like apartment numbers. thriftyfiftyfifty and kensgiftshop confirmed this change, mentioning that sellers might either have to ship to the provided address or cancel the order if issues arise. beautifuljewelrynyc expressed frustration at the removal of this feature, while fullers_uk advised against editing addresses due to potential complications with delivery systems. toomuchstuffagain35 questioned whether sellers should have the option to make such edits for typographical errors.
Kind of minor, but as a seller sometimes I need to edit the buyer address to fix formatting issues or add things like apartment numbers that the buyer might have forgot to add at checkout. I've always been able to edit the address before shipping, but yesterday I noticed this feature is gone. Is there any way to make adjustments to shipping addresses anymore?

·3 weeks agoShouldn't it be up to the seller if they're willing to edit the address for the buyer? Like if there was a typo?

·3 weeks agoI dont edit a buyers address as it gives ebay and a delivery system a massive get out clause because you didn’t ship to the address the buyer entered on checkout, if a carrier wont accept Greek or Chinese letters then its an address problem, cancel order refund and block, if its adding an apartment number that doesn’t really matter what happens when its delivered as long as it shows delivered its the buyers bad luck, your protected.

·3 weeks agoDon't see "edit" next to ship to address, only see the "edit" next to ship from address. It is something interesting to see on eBay, necessary functions were removed or never being done what sellers really need, while some unnecessary functions being created.

·3 weeks agoThere was another post a few days ago where the seller said they couldn't edit the address anymore.
Either ship it to the address the buyer provided or cancel the order.

·3 weeks agoNope, but apparently if the formatting is not consistent and detected (like extra characters in the wrong place) the "Edit" capability apparently shows up temporarily to fix it. Haven't experienced this yet, but one Commenter on here has Posted about it. If not, the ONUS is back on the Buyer to request a Cancel and fix it.
