New York
On December 22, 2025, I placed an order (order number 11-14006-30330) with a delivery date of January 16, 2026. I have been unable to find the shipping information for this item. Subsequently, on January 7, 2026, and January 12, I contacted the seller multiple times to inquire about the shipping details. However, the seller has not responded to date, and I am concerned that there may be a problem with this transaction. This is a special report to you. What should I do?

·9 months agoThe delivery date is January 16, and the date today is January 13. So if the seller has not provided the tracking number either in the transaction or to you, then IMHO there is not much you can do except wait for the delivery date.

·9 months agoDid they mail it without tracking? Some smaller items are shipped using stamps instead of tracking so you can't do anything until the 17th. On the 17th, if you still haven't received it, open an item not received case.
If they did use the ebay system to create their label, you can see it by going under the "My Ebay" (top right of your screen), and look under your purchase history. That will show if a label has been created and where the tracking indicates that the package was picked up and in transit. If nothing is showing there, again wait until the 17th and then open the case.
Sometimes things aren't scanned when they are picked up and then appear when they hit the destination state. That has happened quite a few times with my shipments, so it still might be on the way to you. Give it a few more days.
Good luck!

wait until the next day after the final delivery date, if u still have not rec'd the item, open an item not rec'd case, then the seller will 'have' to upload the tracking number to prove delivery, if not, they will have to refund you
fyi- sellers are not 'required' to supply tracking numbers or other info re shipping after the sale, altho imo they should

·9 months agoIf you don't receive item by expected delivery by January 16 you can "open case" against the Seller. Go to PURCHASE and select DID NOT RECEIVE ITEM.
I just want to point out with such a long delivery date (Dec. 22 to Jan 16) most likely your item it is coming from another country and will probably be delayed in customs. Everything is a huge mess right now due to the tariffs.
EBAY will protect if you item is lost or damaged in shipment, so you don't need to worry.

Are you saying that the seller failed to provide you with a tracking number? If so they may have never shipped the item. Here is what you do on January 17th which is Saturday file an item not received case against the seller. They must provide the tracking number. If they don't then you can escalate the case to get a refund.

2 Christmases ago I sold a beautiful antique diamond ring for $1,400. + took it to the post office and mailed it out. I received a receipt 🧾 of the post office having possession of it. It never ever moved not even once tracked. The buyer started going crazy about her diamond ring her wonderful husband bought her. Where was her package 📦? I didn’t know! I sent it out fully insured with tracking but again and again the buyer emailed me. I kept saying that I sent it out fully insured and that I was mystified where it was but that it was going to be ok. Finally she got desperate wanting her ring and it now was after Christmas so after 1 solid month of nothing zero information about “our†package I made a request for the insurance payment claim for my obviously missing package.
Would you believe in about 1 second the package was immediately located in Queens New York my having sent it from Manhattan. It didn’t move in + no information was available in 1 solid month but moved from 1 borough to another. Once found it was immediately sent out to this lady who was ecstatic and she loved her ring once it arrived to her. She really wanted the diamond ring her husband bought for her!
“All’s well that ends well!â€

·9 months agoThat buyer was very generous not filing a "item not received" case against you if it was 1 solid month. It's great to hear that the ring finally got to her. Carrier time varies and I got tons of stories as well which happened. On this board we advise policy and what Ebay would want. In your case you had a tracking number and the item was insured. That was a smart move. In the OP case they are trying to get a tracking number from the seller.

·9 months agoThe estimated date of delivery hasn't even passed, so why would you have concerns? Sellers are not required to ship with tracking nor are they required to answer questions on shipping. Shipping was extremely slow this holiday season. You just need to be patient. Once the estimated date of delivery has passed, then you can do something. AFTER the date has passed, you can go to your purchase history and click on I haven't received my item and follow the instructions.
