New USPS Postage Rates
I was at USPS my post office today July 1st and asked a regular employee who has been there for years...from afar the clerk I was working with...my clerk I was working with knew nothing.
I was told new rates are tomorrow...but I am reading online mixed reviews...not until second week of July.
I am using forever stamps right now plus walking in the post office for anything I need with tracking and making sure it is scanned and stamped. I feel a rocky few weeks with everything and wonder if those ESE are upped to the new rate...I assume if USPS increases rates those ESE rates should also go up.
And no one at post office know the new rates...I asked...I feel a few hiccups for a few weeks for new rates.
I suggest all those mailing items in person to be safe...including parcels and packages.

·2 years agoPostal clerks are NEVER trained in online postage rates or instructions - Since over the counter doesn't have cubic pricing as an option. Remember when online first class went to 15.9 ounces? Clerks were refusing the packages because they simply weren't instructed about them. As far as they were concerned first class was 13 ounce - period.
Once I saw that (on these boards) I printed out the online sheets and made it a point of giving to my postmaster. Never had a problem with them after that. Be proactive.
