New shipping label if customer didn't put the unit #
Hello,
I'm new to this; but I send the customer the item they bought right away and paid for shipping... The item was received back today with note that insufficient address. I addressed this with customer and it's because they didn't put the unit #.... so my question, who pays for shipping at this point? I will be charged another label if I print it, but is it bad if I charge them since it's their mistake?

·1 week agomeh, depends on the value
if you can't eat the postage and still make a profit then refund them.
otherwise you can always just reach out to them and talk about it, most people will pay to have it re-shipped. but some won't
it's a delemma sometimes, if my profit is good enough i will just reship it at no charge.
I just had the exact same thing happen the other day I resent it and said if you want to pay for it, great here is the info.
they said they would once it arrives, I have doubts but no big deal it was $6 to re-ship (my original profit was going to be around $25) and I won't have a headache later

·1 week agoFinish and close out this initial transaction by refunding the buyer less postage as @1786davycrockett says. If you want to relist and notify the buyer that they can repurchase again as a new transaction with their corrected address, you can do that

This is the buyer's mistake, and not yours.
Refund the buyer for everything but the postage, and re-list the item. If the buyer wishes to purchase it again, they will need to purchase it with a correct address.
