Measuring a paper mailer
I've just started selling on Ebay, and I have a few DVDS I'd like to get rid of. I have a package of 12 Ebay paper mailers but don't know how to "measure" the package. I know Length x Width x Height, but does Length (longest side)= Height (how tall the package is)? I'm a tad lost on what's what.

The easiest way to remember how to record the physical dimensions of a package are "longest side X medium side X shortest side" -- for DVDs, your "shortest" side will probably be under one inch (1").

·1 year agoThe height is the "thickness" of the mailer at it's thickest point. As far as length and width go you measure the outside dimensions, not the usable inside dimensions sometimes printed on the mailer.

Bubble wrap may also be needed.

·1 year agoI'd measure the mailer and call that your length and width, then maybe use one inch (height) for a DVD.
I'd also question using paper mailers (?) for shipping DVDs. But if you safely can, then go for it. Good luck.

Side to side is the width.
I hope that helps.
Best to you.
