Marked down on shipping.
Just wondering if anyone else is being marked down on eBay for delayed shipping? I was at 100% shipping for years and today I'm down to 91%. I go to the Post Office almost twice a day with packages, I have called eBay several times about being marked down and last lady said she would fix it for me and instead I got marked down more. I'm on 24 hour mailing which is fine with me but I guess not eBay. Maybe they want a Top Seller Plus off as I have been with them over 25 years. I even mail on Sat. mornings when I thought weekends were free shipping delivery. Anyone out there having problems also???

·2 years agoMaybe it has to do with how fast you upload tracking? I got marked down, I had an incorrect tracking number and uploaded a group of numbers the next day. Marking it shipped doesn’t help, the tracking needs to be done.

·2 years agoI am assuming everything you ship has tracking. I don't ship everything with tracking...so I get marked down from one month to another. One item not showing tracking will do it. And within a 24 hour window. And not everything might get scanned the day it is mailed unless you hand it in person....which I think is impossible.
Leaving packages at counter usually just get dropped in a bin in my post office. Even if you have an eBay shipping label....I see people all the time ask for a scan of their label and those who just leave their packages on the counter. I think it's hard to be a Top Seller Plus...for what?...10 % saving?
I never had that issue, I have 3 day handling, but I do ship faster than that. Perhaps changing your handling time would help in the future.
As @wastingtime101 suggested take a look at your seller dashboard to see exactly what transactions effected your shipping performance and why.

OP2 years agoThank you for your note. I did find the listing page suggested and it shows 1 item that I left with postal person and she forgot to scan till after her shift was over and 7 no carrier scans again at the PO where I stood in line and watched them scan my packages and I have proof. So I confronted my post master with the problem and he admitted his scanners were not working during the change over to Ground Advantage so again I was marked down. At least I know it wasn't my fault and due to the post office. But of course ebay does not believe me.

·2 years agoIs your proof a dated USPS receipt showing the packages were scanned in on time @vsfay ? If the answer is yes, I would appeal with eBay CS. If you send a DM to them on social (askebay on twitter or ebayforbusiness on facebook) because you can upload a photo of the receipt to the DM. Generally they will only remove the late shipping marks if your seller status is at risk (e.g., dropping from TRS to Above Standard).

OP2 years agoThanks for your note and I'll keep it in mind. At this point the less I have to interact with ebay the better. All I get is a run around so why bother. I was just wondering if anyone else was having the same problem.

·2 years agoYour listings offer next day shipping so you shouldn't be having problems if you ship every day M-F.
Take a look at your seller dashboard @vsfay , go to the section that says you have shipping issues and expand it. There should be a link to download a report of affected transactions. Click on that to see which transactions have the issue and whether or not those transactions may have had an issue (like maybe tracking wasn't uploaded on time)?
Come back and let us know what you find.
