Lithium battery installed in used device shipping to Puerto Rico
I recently sold a used electronic device that has a rechargeable lithium ion battery.
It needs to be shipped to Puerto Rico.
I’ve been seeing conflicting info on what I need to do.
Seems like I need to label it with a UN 3481 label, is that the correct label?
I have also seen I need to mark it for “ground onlyâ€, but how does that work with shipping to Puerto Rico?
Finally, what services allow and don’t allow batteries? I purchased USPS Ground Advantage, but I’m seeing some people say I should use Priority only?
Thanks

·8 months agoI've always just checked the 'hazardous materials' box when buying the label and it's marked as such. If you already bought the label without checking the box, then you probably need to get one of the stickers at the PO.
I believe they must go GA.
