I lived south of there for a few years in a Duplex. Nice quiet arrangement about a block or so from Martha Lake. Until....The property managment people rented the other unit to a woman that promptly turned her unit into a crack/drug house.
I called the police (as well as every other nearby neighbor) repeatedly over the situation. One day I got a call from Lieutenant (insert name here) of narcotics who told me to quit calling because there was nothing they could do without "infringing on her rights". That they couldn't pull cars over leaving there for the same reason.
If that is the mindset of the legal system in the Puget Sound area one can imagine the boldness of violent crimminals.
It was even worse up in Everett. Gunshots at night etc.etc.
I got fed up with the whole area and moved over the Cascade Mountain range into the rural interior of the state before the homeless epidemic and all out lawlessness took over swaths of the sound area.
No homeless encampments on sidewalks or lunatics wandering around screaming at the sky in towns here. You can actually use the parks. They actually bust drug dealers.
