Item shipped with tracking. Got to the right city but never got delivered
I have a customer who lives in New York City. Tracking shows her item made it to NY City on January 22. It has not been delivered. She contacted the PO and they were no help. Do I owe her a refund? Thanks!!

·7 months agoIf they file an "item not received" case against you then yes a refund will be in order. This depends on what the "Estimated time of Delivery" is. What does tracking say about "running behind"?

·7 months agoEBAY holds Seller responsible for lost or damaged shipments. Seller should go to USPS.com and file a lost package claim (attach copy of your email invoice to establish value of your item). USPS will mail you a check in about 2-3 weeks.
If package arrives after you gave the customer a refund, EBAY will reimburse you. That is assuming you purchased your label through EBAY.

·7 months agoI agree with the post above that you should use the USPS website to try to track it down first.
If you can't find it, you can ask your buyer to open an INR and send a refund. If the package is later delivered after you sent the refund, ebay will reimburse you if you used ebay shipping labels.
If you didn't use ebay shipping labels or don't want an INR on your account, you can just go into the order and send a refund if you prefer.
But again, I'd try to track it down first. It's probably just stuck, and the missing mail search usually gets it unstuck. Since the buyer already contacted her local PO, I'd just let her know you're working on it, and to please give it a few more days (especially since the weather has been causing delays)

·7 months agoTell your customer you have contacted USPS and file a missing mail claim. I have had to do that on numerous occasions and they track it and it gets delivered. Has never failed to work for me.
