item shipped sitting in eBay's international consolidation center.
I have sent an item to be shipped internationally via eBay. The buyer has recently contacted me saying that they have never received the item. When I checked the tracking information, it stated the item should have arrived to the buyer on 7/10/2023 but it is showing that the item is still sitting in eBay's international consolidation center (here in the US) . I have provided all proper tracking information to the buyer.
I'm just curious on how something like this will get resolved?

·3 years agoYou can' t do much about it. Your responsibility is to make sure that the package is delivered to the distribution/consolidation center. From there, everything is in ebay's hands. The only thing you can do is to advise the buyer to file an Item Not Received case, IF the estimated delivery date range has passed. Ebay will have to refund the buyer, not you! You don't say when was the package mailed and into which country. Even if it shows that it is sitting in the distribution center, it may well be, that it is on its next leg. The tracking scans are often delayed. I don't use ebay program, but the deliveries take approx 7-9 days to UK, 10 days to Canada, about 2 weeks to Germany 2-3 weeks to France, Italy 3 weeks , Australia 3-4 weeks.

·3 years agoThe tracking doesn't always get updated when it leaves the center but since it is past the estimated delivery date, the buyer can open an item not received claim and ebay will refund them.
