Item not recieved; how to proceed
The buyer is claiming that I sent an empty envelope to him.
He is using a known scammy freight forwarder. I called usps and they sent me the document showing the item weighed 1lb when it was signed for by his freight forwarder. He says he has a picture of the package showing it was empty, but he hasn't sent it.
9434908106245771961091 is the tracking number. It looks like he signed for the package, and then the freight forwarder refused it.
DO I REFUND HIM OR ALLOW EBAY TO STEP IN? This is my 4th inr in the last month. I had 2 packages go lost in transit, and then another similar situation where the package was delivered to a freight forwarder (miami fl), and eBay had to step in and side in my favor. It's to the point where I have account restrictions because these freight forwarders and mass buyers are all opening inr cases.

·7 months agoThis is an interesting situation because it shows Delivered, then it shows it arriving back at the post office.
As far as ebay is concerned, I would think the "delivered" notation would count for the INR. But I'm not really sure. I know that when an item is refused or undeliverable, they count that as "delivered".
If I were in this situation, I would enter the tracking into the INR like you did for the last one, because I believe ebay will side in your favor. (not guaranteed, just my opinion)
However, if I were you, I'd be less concerned about what this INR will do and more concerned about what all those cancellations you made within the last month are going to do. (assuming you used the proper reason)

·7 months agoGood to hear you have been reassured by eBay that they'd "remove any dings". However, just for your peace of mind, keep an eye on that situation. eBay CS reps have been known to tell you what you want to hear just to get you off the phone so they can go on to the next caller and do the same with them. Just sayin'.

·7 months agoWell if a package is lost or damaged then you as the seller are responsible and as you said you filed a missing case. Ebay restricts accounts if buyer files a case and you do nothing. Letting Ebay step in isn't what you want them to do cause you will get a defect on your record.

OP7 months agoI did go ahead and open up a missing mail in case he is telling the truth, but theres no way the envelope was empty if it was literally weighed at 1lb when it was signed off by his freight forwarder...
