Item not delivered, stuck in another city for 9 days. Refund refused, case on hold... the day I opened it. Item is gone.
Summary: dwayneboone expressed frustration over a missing eBay item that has been in transit and stuck in another city for 9 days, with multiple missed delivery dates. Despite opening a case, they haven't received a refund or resolution, prompting thoughts of closing their eBay account. Other participants suggested steps to resolve the issue and warned against closing the account prematurely, as it might complicate recovery efforts. dwayneboone remained dissatisfied, noting repeated automatic responses from eBay and requesting account cancellation due to the unresolved case.
It appears I will not be getting my money back on an item that is missing, lost or stolen in transit. it is not coming. eBay is not cooperating. Three delivery dates and nothing. It's not coming. I guess I'll close account and never shop here again. This is risky business and I'm out of a lot of money. It has been in the same city for 9 days now. 72 miles away. I am a delivery driver. it's destroyed or stolen. No excuses. This thing came from across the country and stopped in the capitol of my state and all tracking has stopped. 9 days now. ordered a month ago or more. 3 delivery dates, three no shows and a case on hold immediately. No refund coming. I sue, or I'm just ripped off.
No more ebay. I read the policy, this is not good nor fair at all.
Goodbye~!

·1 month agoWhat policy did you read? Because here are the actual policies and steps you need to take:
Report that your item hasn't arrived
The seller is the best person to help if the delivery date has passed and your item hasn't arrived. You can ask for an order update, a replacement, or a refund back to your original payment method. Most sellers respond within 3 business days.
To be eligible for buyer protections, you need to report the item hasn't arrived within 30 calendar days after the delivery date, so get in touch with the seller as soon as you can. Refunds are typically available within 3-5 business days.
Report an item you didn't receive
Ask eBay to step in and help
If the seller hasn't responded, or hasn't provided a resolution after 3 business days, you can ask us to step in. You have up to 21 business days from when you opened the original request.
Here's how you can ask eBay to step in:
Find the item in your Purchases.
In the More Actions drop down menu, select See request details.
Select Ask eBay to step in and help.
Select a reason from the dropdown menu, then select Confirm.

OP1 month agoRequested help, they immediately placed the whole thing on hold after getting them involved, because all I received in response was the same email he responded with in the 1st place. Another past due date. I did all that and then some. I placed a request to cancel the account. I don't play. Just checked earlier to if by chance. it's not there.

·1 month agoDid your listing have an ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE?
If that date has passed, why not open an ITEM NOT RECEIVED CASE? Also, why not read the MBG so you will know what to do if/when a transaction goes wrong?

·1 month agoI don't know the exact timeframes offhand but I believe it's something like if tracking has had an update within the past 4 days, INR case will be placed on a temporary hold for x more days to allow for delivery to occur or whatever. Might be butchering that; here's hoping someone else will chime in. Details matter with stuff like this though. Dates, timeframes, carrier, tracking status updates, etc, etc. The more specific you can get with the details, the better anyone here might be able to advise you.
