Item Delivered - Customer Can't Find It

Here's something I haven't encountered before. I sold an item to someone and they sent me this message:

"Package had been delivered but I don’t see it at my house. Could you please contact with ups for proof pictures that is delivery to my house"?

What should be my next step?

Thanks for the advice everybody!

It was a big box. Prolly 25"x12"x8". It was a gooseneck microphone and I needed to use a huge box to fit it.

It's been two days and I haven't heard a peep. I'm assuming the package was found. No claims filed so far.

Part of me wants to reach out to the customer to make sure everything's cool. But the other, more sensible side of me says no and to lay low.

We'll see what happens.

'delivery to my 'house'...maybe 'porch pirate'...and that's not a seller's problem.

I can't see how big the package was.

Google address to see if house has a porch or something...

Was package small enough for a mailbox?

There is nothing else you can do. The item was delivered. You contacted UPS and they stated it was delivered. The package could've been stolen. All that you the seller should worry about is that the tracking states delivered. If and only if the buyer decides to file an "item not received" case all you have to do is provide the tracking number which states delivered and you will win the case. You did your part which is shipped the item to the buyer. There are a bunch of unknowns which Ebay only goes by what tracking says.

I reached out to UPS and they said it was delivered to his neighbor and gave me the address.

I let the customer know and they said that address is a vacant mobile home. I told them that if they have no luck, they'd need file a not received claim.

They came back and asked me for advice.

I'm not sure what else I can do and I feel bad. Should I just firmly tell them to file the claim?

Did they go there and see if the package was there?
