Is it presently safe to ship to Taiwan?

I generally do not ship out of the US, but I got a note from an Ebay member in Taiwan that he would like to buy an lp whose auction just ended unsold. He has great 100% feedback, but I'm concerned about shipping to this country. Do you consider it safe and if so, how would you ship... international first class? thanks.

Hi. I'm a user from Taiwan.

Currently we have a lot of people using international shipping. I bought some products from Amazon few months ago and they were shipped from the U.S! I have to say Taiwan is a totally different country compared with China, ofc we located close to China, but our culture and the characters we use are totally different from China.

I ship to Taiwan as well as China which are different countries. I try to get the address in English as well as Chinese on it. Address usually has their telephone number on address also. The problem with buyers from both countries is sometimes they only give you a Chinese address with no English address. I sometimes email a photo with their address on it to the buyer to show it is in the mail.

I get those Chinese or Japanese Ship-To: addresses from time to time. As long as the destination country is spelled out in English, the local post offices over there will of course be able to read their own language once the package gets that far.

As a backup, you can also push the Chinese or Japanese address through Google Translate to get its English equivalent, and then print it out and add it next to the original foreign-language text on the label.

Hi, there;

I am a Taiwanese Canadian presently residing in Taiwan. The truth is, we shared very similar languages and culture with china, but, no, we are not china. Itâ€™s like British and American and Australian all speaking English, but they all have their own core-value and heritages.)

Itâ€™s perfectly safe to ship items to Taiwan, and chances of loosing package is extremely odd.

Taiwan is a friendlier neighbour country of china, just like Vietnam and Thailand.
