Internationaly shipping wont let a buyer from the UK purchase from me...why?
I have had internationaly shipping for years. Have never had an issue but now I have a buyer from Norfolk, Uk who wants to buy a Cabbage patch kid and it wont let her proceed with the purchase. She has been a buyer since 2009 with 245 feedback. Any idea why she isnt allowed to purchase?

·5 months agoToys sold into the UK need to meet safety regulations...this is very hard to do with older out of the package toys. All toys must show the UKCA/CE safety standard on the package or toy

Many items in the Toys & Hobbies category cannot be sold in the UK without evidence of meeting certification standards, apparently, or else some sort of proof that the standards do not apply.
This has caused all sorts of problems.

·5 months agoIt is a toy. The UK requires certification of the toy to allow its import. If you actually shipped it, it is likely to be seized and destroyed. This is a recent change.
A vintage Cabbage Patch toy will never be certified because there is no profit for the manufacture to pay for the process.
